Forillon National Park of Canada

Forillon National Park embraces the most easterly part of the Gaspé Peninsula. The name is said to relate to the practice of setting fires on shore to attract fish or simply to alert vessels of dangers to navigation. The steep limestone cliffs of the Gaspé coast plunge into the Gulf of St. Lawrence at Forillon. Follow nature walks and hiking trails to the shore, and watch for whales, seals and seabirds.
